BTC Holds the Line Near $78K: Recovery Building or Just a Pause?

Bitcoin is trading at $78,352 on the 4H chart, up 0.18% on the day. After the sharp sell-off from the $81,971 high, which pushed price down to a low of $76,325, the market has spent the last several sessions slowly rebuilding.

A few things stand out to me:

Price structure: The 24h range sits between $77,620 and $78,878, a fairly tight band after last week’s volatility. Higher lows have been forming since the bottom, and the recent candles are pushing back toward the moving averages.

Moving averages: Price is now sitting right on the MA(7) at 78,171 and MA(25) at 78,178, which have flattened out and converged. That is a key area to watch. The MA(99) at 80,607 is still sloping down overhead, so the broader trend hasn’t flipped yet.

Volume: Volume has cooled off noticeably compared to the heavy selling candle during the drop. 24h volume is about 8,030 BTC (roughly $627M). Low volume during a bounce usually means the market is undecided, so I’d want to see volume expand before trusting a breakout.

What I’m watching:

Support: $77,600 and then the $76,300 swing low
Resistance: $78,900, followed by the $80,000 to $80,600 zone near the MA(99)

A clean 4H close above $78,900 with rising volume would be the first real sign of strength. Losing $77,600 would put the recovery in question.
