A mother carries her child through the chaos of Mirpur-10, trying to get home safely as police and garment workers clash around them. The child, still carrying a schoolbag, rests in their mother's arms, perhaps unaware of what is happening on the streets. Somewhere nearby, people are fighting for a better life. And in the middle of it all, a mother is simply trying to get her child home.

The photograph was taken on Sunday during clashes between garment workers demanding a minimum monthly wage of Tk 30,000 and police in Mirpur-10.
