The Federal Reserve met yesterday. Rates stayed the same. Bitcoin bounced back above $81,000.

Here is what happened, without the jargon.

The Fed Decision

The Fed kept its benchmark rate at 3.75%–4.00% in a 10-2 vote. Two officials wanted another hike, but the majority chose to wait .

This was widely expected. Markets had already priced it in. So Bitcoin’s reaction was muted—up only about 0.2% right after the announcement .

Why Bitcoin Is Holding Up

Two things are supporting the price.

First, ETF money is coming back. U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw $176 million in net inflows on October 27, the second straight day of positive flows. Even when Bitcoin dipped below $80,000, ETF demand didn’t disappear .

Second, sellers are tired. Nearly 15,000 BTC were pulled off exchanges right before the Fed decision. When coins leave exchanges, it usually means holders aren’t planning to sell soon. That reduces selling pressure .

The Warning Sign

The Fear & Greed Index dropped to 46—neutral territory. A week ago it was 54. A month ago it was 70 .

Sentiment is cooling. That’s not panic. But it’s not confidence either.

What Beginners Should Watch

The next big event is December. Markets now price a high chance of another rate hike at the December 8-9 meeting .

Higher rates pressure crypto. So the next few weeks will likely stay choppy.

Watch the $80,000 level. If it holds, the market is okay. If it breaks, be patient.

Don’t trade the Fed. Trade your plan.
