Every #DoginalDogs holder knows the three names: Bark, Shibo and Shield. Bark, also known as Barkmeta, is Christian Barker, the co-founder. Shibo is David Chaboki, the technical and community lead. Shield is Damien Galvin, the chief financial officer. Together they have shipped something new for the pack almost every season since January 2024.
It started with one dog. In November 2023 Bark wanted a pixel art portrait of his own dog, Atlas, according to the official project history. That portrait became 10,000 pixel dogs inscribed on Dogecoin.
How Did It Start?
With a free mint. On Jan. 11, 2024, all 10,000 dogs minted at zero cost, and the team paid every inscription fee. The whitelist was built by the community itself. The founders picked five holders, each picked three more, and the chain kept going until it hit 5,000 spots.
No venture money, no outside investors. The team funds its own events, according to the founders.
Who Does What?
Bark is the voice. He is on X and in Spaces daily, with close to 289,000 followers. Shibo runs the technical side and the community, and he hosts regularly on Crypto Spaces Network. Shield handles the money and the operations, and his X profile lists him as a former Mercedes executive.
What Has the Pack Shipped?
The list is long for under three years. More than 20 self-funded events, from New York to Las Vegas, according to a July company release. DDNYC in September drew record attendance. Gary the plush sold out all 10,000 units.
Then came Doginal Dogs Legends: Rise of the Pack, a trading card game with 111 hand-drawn cards that landed in holders' hands in early October. Cards are graded through AGS and Collectors Club, and you can play online at ddltcg.com.
Crypto Spaces Network keeps the pack talking every day. The team counts more than 1,000 consecutive days of live broadcasts.
What Are They Building Right Now?
AI. Gigatron opened Oct. 23 at joingigatron.com, a 24/7 world where members' AI agents race maze challenges, vote on proposals and climb the leaderboard. Behind it is #DDSWARM, more than 25 Grok Bots that help run the company. Shibo built a lot of it live on Spaces, taking bot-to-bot replies from about 15 minutes down to about 240 milliseconds.
And Miami. DD Miami runs Dec. 7 to 9, early-bird tickets sold out, and the first DDL Miami Championship hits Collectors Club on Dec. 8.
