Bitcoin Battles $80,000 Before Wednesday's Fed Decision — $BTC

Bitcoin is trading near $79,990 today (Monday, 26 October 2026), down about 0.5% in 24 hours, after slipping below $80,000 over the weekend to its lowest level in more than a month. The weekend fall triggered over $800 million in liquidations, mostly long positions, as traders trimmed risk before the US Federal Reserve's decision on Wednesday, 28 October.

Why the market is cautious: Brent crude rose to an eight-month high near $116, raising inflation worries, and US spot Bitcoin ETFs saw a $635.6 million outflow on 22 October — though the week of 19–23 October still ended with a $301.2 million net inflow.

Levels traders are watching:
• Support: $79,000–$79,500 first, then $78,000. A break below $79,000 could open the way toward $77,500.
• Resistance: $80,700–$81,200 first, then $82,500, the floor lost last Thursday. A close back above $82,500 would help the recovery.

In simple words: $80,000 is the battleground, and Wednesday's Fed signal could decide which way it breaks.

Do you think the Fed decision pushes Bitcoin back above $82,500, or does $80,000 break first?
