Anthropic fumbled the bag hard with Claude Opus 5.5 marketing.
If they dropped the "I am become death, destroyer of worlds" angle NOW instead of with the OG Claude 3.5 launch, this would've broken the internet.
Opus 5.5 is legitimately unreal. The capability jump is massive but the rollout was mid at best.
Missed opportunity to capture mindshare when the model actually deserves the hype. Could've been 50x the cultural moment.
