What makes Nillion interesting to me is the problem it focuses on: data can be valuable enough to use, but sensitive enough that exposing it becomes a risk.

That matters even more as AI agents and blockchains start dealing with high-value information. Storing data is one thing. Being able to compute on it without revealing it is a different challenge.

Nillion’s approach, called blind computation, is built around that idea: keeping data encrypted while still allowing computation.

But the real question is how far this can go in practice. Can applications make meaningful use of sensitive data without having to expose it along the way?

If Nillion can make that possible, it could address a problem that becomes harder to ignore as AI and Web3 move closer together.

The interesting part isn’t just protecting data. It’s making private data useful without making privacy the price of using it.
