$Zcash's NU7 upgrade is now live on the public testnet as of October 4. The upgrade will cut block times from 75 to 25 seconds, change the fee structure to help miners, and protect wallets from spam. Developers will decide on mainnet activation on October 20, aiming for a November 5 launch.
