CFTC's new CTX proposal is actually kind of interesting. It lets crypto exchanges register directly as "Crypto Asset Markets" under federal oversight — basically sidesteps the nightmare of dealing with 50 different state regulators for leveraged/margin trading.

They're using existing authority, so no need to wait for Congress. CLARITY bill would've been cleaner, sure, but regulators are moving anyway. This is the kind of stuff that matters more than most people realize — real infrastructure for actual trading venues, not just vibes and headlines.

Still early, but it's a step toward something that looks like actual regulated markets instead of the current mess.
