🚨 META MASK USERS GET ANOTHER REASSURANCE
MetaMask has issued its third assurance that wallets and customer funds remain safe following a recently reported security incident affecting part of its infrastructure.
Ethereum co-founder and ConsenSys founder Joseph Lubin said there is currently “no indication” that MetaMask wallets or customer funds have been affected, emphasizing that users maintain custody and control of their own private keys.
The team says it has taken precautionary measures, including taking validators offline, while continuing its investigation. Lubin added that details of an open security incident will not be publicly discussed until the situation is sufficiently understood.
For now, MetaMask users are being told: your funds remain under your control.
