Trump is demanding former Fed Chair Jerome Powell resign from the Fed Board after an inspector general report found major management failures in the Fed’s headquarters renovation, now estimated at roughly 2.4 billion dollars.
But the watchdog found no criminal wrongdoing or administrative misconduct. Trump says he asked Attorney General Todd Blanche to review the report and threatened legal action if Powell stays.
