🇰🇷 South Korea: KOSPI held onto gains at midday, up 0.48% at 7,051.28 (as of 04:32 UTC), after opening nearly 2% higher and paring the advance. Samsung Electronics rose 2.71% to 284,000 won; SK Hynix edged up 0.43% to 1,848,000 won.
🇭🇰 Hong Kong: The Hang Seng Index ended the morning session down 0.76% at a half-day close of 24,896.04 — slipping below 25,000. The Hang Seng Tech Index fell 0.97%. Big tech names dropped broadly — Alibaba, Xiaomi, and Tencent all lower — while mainland property stocks bucked the trend, with Ronshine China up more than 19%. Kingboard Laminates gained over 5%, while Zhipu fell more than 6%.
