Clipboard hijacking: the address swaps before you paste.
The wallet address you copied can be swapped before you paste.
Clipboard malware watches everything you copy, recognizes address patterns, and silently replaces them with the scammer's address. You paste, you send, it's gone.
Defenses: verify the first and last 6 characters before sending · test with a small amount first · don't sideload random apps.
This trick dates back to 2017 and still drains wallets today — because people keep pasting without checking.
