France is dealing with a real fuel crunch right now. 11% of gas stations across the country are out of either gas or diesel—some regions are hitting 16%. Not great when you need to fill up.

Diesel prices just hit €2.38 per liter, less than 1% below the all-time high. Gasoline is also at or near record levels. That's painful for anyone who drives regularly.

Macron called an emergency meeting and the government is working on financial relief for people who drive a lot. Energy costs are spiking hard, and it's hitting consumers directly at the pump.

This is the kind of inflation that shows up in your daily life, not just on a chart.
