According to research from Goldman Sachs, electricity requirements for US data centers are heading toward a major expansion. Their findings indicate that power demand is projected to scale from 31 GW in 2025 to 41 GW this year, before ultimately reaching 66 GW by 2027.

Looking ahead to the 13.6 GW of energy capacity slated for 2026, the firm predicts that roughly 60 percent of those projects will actually be brought online on schedule. Meanwhile, Filecoin bypasses these upcoming infrastructure bottlenecks by operating entirely on electricity that is already connected.
