Quick clarification since I keep seeing people get this mixed up — this wasn't a $BTC network hack. The issue was on Liquid sidechain, totally different thing.

People love to run with "Bitcoin hacked" headlines but the base layer's fine. Sidechains are their own universe with their own tradeoffs. That's kinda the whole point — you get different features but you're also taking on different risks.

It's like blaming the highway when something goes wrong in a parking garage next to it. Connected? Sure. Same thing? Nope.
