Circle puts USDC on the front of Chelsea shirts in a one-season sponsorship deal
⚽ Circle has become Chelsea’s Principal Partner and front-of-shirt sponsor, with the Circle + USDC branding set to appear on the men’s, women’s and academy kits. The agreement covers the 2026/27 season and includes an extension option.
👕 The new branding will debut when Chelsea face Brighton on August 30. Financial terms were not disclosed, although the club had reportedly been seeking a deal worth around £50–60 million per year.
🏦 Circle holds an FCA e-money licence, a notable factor after UK regulators warned Premier League clubs about partnerships with unlicensed crypto companies.
💵 Chelsea has not announced USDC payments for tickets, merchandise or memberships. For now, the deal appears focused more on mainstream brand exposure than on directly expanding stablecoin usage.
