Solana is facing an important governance discussion that could change how its token supply behaves.

A proposal to potentially double the deflationary component of Solana's economics is getting attention, and I think the bigger story isn't simply whether SOL goes up or down.

It's about supply.

Crypto markets often focus heavily on demand:

How many people are buying?

How much money is entering?

How strong is the narrative?

But supply matters too.

If the amount of SOL entering circulation changes while demand remains strong, the long-term balance between supply and demand can change significantly.

And that's why I'm watching this governance discussion.

🟢 If the proposal gains support

A stronger deflationary mechanism could potentially make SOL's token economics more attractive to long-term holders.

🔴 But there's another side

Changing token economics doesn't automatically create demand.

A token can become more scarce while still falling if buyers disappear.

So I wouldn't look at this proposal as an automatic bullish signal.

Instead, I'd watch three things:

1️⃣ Governance outcome

2️⃣ SOL network activity

3️⃣ Real demand for the token

If all three move in the same direction, the story becomes much more interesting.

And with #SolanaGovernanceVoteToDoubleDeflation already attracting thousands of views and significant discussion, this is clearly something the market is paying attention to.

👀 The real question:

Does stronger deflation make SOL more attractive to long-term investors, or is demand still the bigger factor?

What's your view?

Bullish for SOL or overhyped? 👇
