Yesterday I actually bridged a small DUSK test position instead of just reading the guide, and I hit a detail I hadn’t really thought about.

Dusk’s native L1 is Live with 210M+ DUSK staked, but DuskEVM is still marked Testnet. What caught me off guard was that bridging DUSK isn’t really just “move token from A to B.”

You’re also choosing between two representations: Moonlight, which is transparent and account-based, and Phoenix, which is shielded and note-based.

I assumed I’d get the usual wallet popup, confirm, done. Instead, I reread the Moonlight/Phoenix difference twice because the choice actually affects what I can do next — staking, privacy, and how I use the tokens.

That’s the non-obvious part for me: the conversion can be technically seamless while the decision isn’t.

I ended up keeping the test amount small until I understood where I actually wanted the DUSK to live.
