I started looking at TermMax from a different angle today.
Everyone is talking about the 150,000 TMX reward, but the product itself is more interesting than the campaign.
What caught my attention is the focus on fixed-rate, fixed-term DeFi positions.
In a variable-rate market, the return you expect today can look very different later.
With a fixed-rate structure, you know the rate and the maturity period upfront.
That doesn't mean the position is risk-free — smart-contract, liquidity and market risks still matter.
But I like the idea of removing one source of uncertainty:
the rate itself.
And this is probably what I’ll be watching most closely as the TermMax ecosystem develops.
Is predictable yield more useful to you than chasing a potentially higher but constantly changing rate?
