Bull market never means making money by closing your eyes. During an uptrend, there will be sharp pullbacks; fake hotspots keep emerging; and after a surge, a crash right after is a common market pattern. Some people see the dawn and go all in, use leverage to gamble, thinking they’ve caught the right moment—only to end up waiting for liquidation and being forced out of the game.
A truly mature mindset is not to bet on when the bull market will arrive, but to be prepared for the scenario that the bull market might not come, and that even if it does come, it might leave again. Don’t chase price, don’t go all in, control your position size, and protect your principal.
Whether a bull market will come, we can’t predict. But whether it comes or doesn’t, the prerequisite for everything is being able to stay on the table for the long run. The celebration will eventually end, the tide will recede—only those who can exit safely are the winners.
