Anthropic's Early IPO Investor Meetings Skip Financials And Valuation

According to CNBC, Anthropic's early meetings with prospective investors ahead of a potential IPO have stayed high level and have not included discussion of specific financials or a valuation. The artificial intelligence company confidentially filed its prospectus with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in June and has not disclosed a timeline for its market debut, though it has been holding preliminary meetings in recent weeks to test investor interest. Anthropic CFO Krishna Rao is leading the meetings. The company has discussed its Claude AI models, the development of Claude Code, its position in the enterprise market, its management and the number of releases it has completed. Anthropic said in May that its run-rate revenue crossed $47 billion, up from about $10 billion in revenue in all of 2025. The company closed a funding round in late May at a $965 billion valuation, topping OpenAI's $852 billion valuation in late March. Some investors believe Anthropic could seek a valuation of $2 trillion or more, but that estimate is based on their own analysis and not on a figure from Anthropic.
