Recently, forms of scams on Binance P2P are increasing strongly and more sophisticated than ever. If you are trading P2P, please read the following warnings carefully to protect yourself:
1. Fake Payment Scams / Bank Reversal
Scammers use hacked bank accounts or third-party accounts to transfer money to you. You see money entering your account and rush to release crypto. Later, the real account owner complains and the bank refunds the money.
👉 Consequences: Loss of crypto, bank account at risk of being frozen for investigation.
💡 Advice: Always check if the name of the sender matches the name on the Binance order. If different, absolutely do not release the coin.
2. Screenshot Scams / Fake Messages (Fake Receipt/SMS)
Buyers send screenshots or fake SMS messages claiming they have transferred funds. Many gullible people trust and release crypto without checking the actual account.
💡 Advice: Only trust the actual balance in your bank account. Do not trust screenshots or messages.
3. Cancel Order Trap
Scammers pretend to encounter technical issues and ask you to cancel the order. When you cancel, the transaction will no longer be protected by Binance. At this point, they can exploit this to misappropriate your assets.
💡 Advice: Only cancel the order when you are sure you have not received or sent any funds.
4. Triangle Scam
Scammer using third-party accounts to transfer money to you. When the real account owner discovers and complains, you become the subject of an investigation for receiving illegal funds.
💡 Advice: Ensure the sender's name matches their Binance account name. If not, absolutely do not release crypto.
