In the US, Ether exchange-traded funds (ETFs) may begin staking some of their tokens as of May, according to Bloomberg Intelligence analyst James Seyffart. On April 9, the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) allowed the listing of options contracts related to spot Ether ETFs. However, issuers are still awaiting approval for staking services.

The approval of options contracts could be a significant step toward regulatory approval for staking services in the US. Seyffart noted that staking permission might come in May but could extend until the end of 2025. This development could create new opportunities for investors. Share your thoughts in the comments.
