I just looked at Trump’s latest post. Simply put, China has added a 34% retaliatory tariff on the U.S. The U.S. warns that if China does not remove this tariff by April 8, 2025, starting April 9, the U.S. will impose an additional 50% tariff on China, bringing the total tariff to 104% (the original 20% + China’s 34% + U.S.’s 50%). At the same time, the U.S. will halt all negotiations with China. If China continues to escalate and raises the 34% to 50% or even more, it could lead to a larger trade conflict, with tariffs continuing to soar on both sides?
