According to Foresight News, CyberConnect has announced its transition into a social re-pledge module L2, rebranding and renaming itself as Cyber. In addition, Link3 has been separated into an independent brand. Cyber, built on top of OP Stack, has been launched in collaboration with Altlayer and integrates a secure custom infrastructure provided by Eigenlayer's Active Verification Service (AVS). It is now live on the developer's mainnet.

As part of the Optimism Superchain, Cyber's social data network and applications will also be accessible to users in other ecosystems within the Superchain. Furthermore, Cyber will contribute a portion of the revenue generated by the Cyber sorter to the Optimism Collective, to fund public products and network development. Cyber will also issue commemorative NFTs on its official website, which will later be empowered in the mainnet activities.

Cyber also provides a Web2-like experience for users through native account abstraction and familiar authentication methods such as Passkey and WebAuthn. In addition, Cyber will distribute millions of CYBER tokens to stimulate the development of the ecosystem. It has already allocated $2 million in grants for builders and will continue to increase investment to encourage more developers and builders to deeply cultivate the Cyber ecosystem.
