The PCE price index increased by 0.3% last month, up from 0.1% in November, data from the Department of Commerce showed on Friday. In the 12 months to December, the figure reached 2.6%, compared to 2.4% in the previous month. Both figures were in line with economists' expectations.
This is still being monitored by the Fed as one of the determining steps for interest rate decision-making in the coming weeks...
And if there is a rate cut, then investment instruments will experience a correction or even a decline..
