People always say, "study bitcoin", but no one actually tells you what that means...
So here's an outline of topics to get you started.
#Bitcoin Study Guide:
-> Learn the basic concepts of what money is: fiat currency, medium of exchange, store of value, debt, inflation. Watching short videos works.
-> Investigate the history of money (including the Roman Empire, Argentina, Venezuela, etc). This will help paint a bigger picture of reoccurring problems with fiat and the importance of scarcity.
-> Decentralized vs. Centralized
-> Understand how a decentralized blockchain is useful to solve the problems of fiat. (Yes, the word blockchain is scary but you don't have to know the details, just understand the basic concept).
-> How a bitcoin solves the Byzantine Generals' Problem.
-> Read the bitcoin whitepaper (focus on the concepts)
-> Learn the difference between Proof of Work and Proof of Stake.
-> Importance of 21M Bitcoins, the block cycle halving, miners, and nodes
-> Wallets, private keys, addresses, UTXOs
-> More technical: BIP-39, Sha-256, hash functions
