Recently, I noticed a detail: @AEON_Community has quietly been selected for this season's BNB Chain MVB.
This program has hundreds of projects competing every season, but the ones that truly remain are often fewer than 20.
Previously hot projects like AltLayer, Vooi, and sidekick were seen after being selected for MVB, and then quickly secured large financing.
This time, AEON's position is somewhat special, as it is one of the few payment-oriented projects this season.
Payment is often mentioned in Web3, but there aren't many projects that can truly be implemented.
AEON's idea is to combine AI with offline payment—allowing you to complete payments for plane tickets, subscriptions, etc., with just a sentence, and also to scan and check out in scenarios like Uniqlo and McDonald's.
Looking further back, it has already covered over 20 million merchants in Southeast Asia, Africa, and Latin America, and has conducted offline field tests.
In addition, AEON has established partnerships with well-known wallets and CEXs like Bitget Wallet, OKX Wallet, and Bybit, and AEON's ecosystem and scenarios are slowly unfolding. This indicates that AEON is not just staying at the conceptual stage, but is genuinely laying out a usable payment network.
A few weeks ago, at the NYC hackathon hosted by Coinbase, AEON was recommended as an excellent early project and successfully integrated with the x402 launched by @CoinbaseDev.
CTO Leo demonstrated the integration of AEON AI Payment with x402 on-site, showing how to use the x402 API to enable smart agents to complete payments, directly connecting to millions of merchants.
So for me, AEON's selection for MVB is not just a simple "news"; it feels more like a signal: it may become the gateway for crypto payments to truly enter daily life.
