That exact combination—whales selling, retail buying—is what has historically preceded the worst crashes. But this time there’s something different in the data, and it’s worth looking at it calmly before jumping to conclusions. **What happened this week** After almost two months of nearly uninterrupted outflows, the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs received $221.7 million on July 3, the highest daily inflow in two months. $BTC It came after falling 14% in June and rebounded 3.8% over the last seven days. But what stood out wasn’t Bitcoin: $ETH it rose 13% and returned to around $1,730, and $SOL dit led among the majors with a +16% gain, alongside Cardano and Stellar in the same range. When altcoins move faster than Bitcoin in a rebound, it usually means the capital that had been parked in stablecoins starts looking for risk again.
