Yuga Labs has acquired Roar Studios, an immersive social experiences startup, to enhance its Otherside Meta vision. Roar Studios' founder and CEO, Eric Reid, will join Yuga Labs as the General Manager of Otherside Meta. Roar Studios has developed a metaverse platform called ROAR, which enables musicians to create and play music together in an immersive environment. The acquisition follows Yuga Labs' live demonstration of its Otherside gamified metaverse world for the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) community. The collaboration aims to create new ways for communities to connect and express themselves within the web3 metaverse.
