According to TechFlow, the UK regulator, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA), has placed 143 crypto trading platforms on the warning list.

The list includes unauthorized companies that customers “should avoid,” including major exchanges such as HTX and KuCoin.

In the UK, companies that are allowed to "carry out crypto-asset activities" must register with the FCA or be granted temporary operating status. The FCA revealed that it has received 291 registration applications since 2020 and approved 38 of them, or about 13%.

As of now, the FCA’s list of registered crypto asset providers includes 42 entities such as Bitstamp, Revolut, and Gemini, among others.
