Have you ever predicted the market correctly, got liquidated, and then watched price move exactly toward your original target? It feels like the market personally came for you 😂, but most of the time the real problem is much simpler: your leverage didn't give your analysis enough room to work.
This is something many traders learn the hard way. Bitcoin can be bullish and still drop 2–3% before moving higher. A coin can reach a strong support, sweep below it, liquidate overleveraged longs and then recover. Your overall direction may be completely correct, but if you're sitting on 30x or 50x leverage, a normal market fluctuation can remove you before the actual move begins.
That's why I always say good analysis and good risk management are two different skills. Finding the right direction is only half of trading. You also need to survive the noise between your entry and your target.
And please don't increase leverage simply because your account is small. Making $5 may look boring, but consistently protecting your capital is far better than making $50 today and giving $100 back tomorrow.
Before entering your next trade, don't only ask, “How much can I make?” Ask yourself, “If the market temporarily moves against me, can my position survive?”
Sometimes the best traders aren't the ones predicting every move perfectly. They're simply the ones who stay in the game long enough for their good decisions to matter.
