I keep catching myself asking the wrong question.

For a long time I thought the future of AI would belong to whoever built the smartest systems. The more I watch this space the less believable that feels. Intelligence is becoming easier to create. Trust is not.

That changed the way I looked at Newton Protocol. I stopped seeing another AI crypto project and started seeing a coordination problem. An automated strategy can be brilliant and still fail if nobody understands why it made a decision or who carries responsibility when something goes wrong.

The same pattern keeps appearing across different networks. We are no longer competing to produce more intelligence. We are quietly competing to build systems that strangers are willing to depend on without knowing each other.

That feels like a much harder problem.

Maybe the next wave of value will not come from smarter algorithms at all. Maybe it will come from reducing doubt between people machines and capital.

I could be completely wrong. But the more I look at it the more it feels like the real race has already changed while most of us are still watching the old one.
