PayPal has issued its stablecoin PYUSD and has been called by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (#SEC ) to provide documents and has cooperated with them on this request. This was disclosed in its third quarterly financial report. PayPal has been able to allow its customers to# transat a variety of cryptocurrencies including PYUSD and partner with Paxos to issue them. Approval has been obtained from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority following a temporary suspension of cryptocurrency purchases in the UK, and PayPal services are expected to resume after regulatory approval, but there may be restrictions on adding new customers in the future.
