I’ve seen countless calls for a “super cycle” this cycle — and every one of them missed the mark.
Here’s my unfiltered take:
The real super cycle starts when precious metals roll into a multi-year downtrend and Bitcoin, powered by absolute scarcity, breaks into new all-time highs. That’s the true rotation. Boomers stay parked in gold, while a new generation of capital flows into a new asset class. Metals underperform. Bitcoin absorbs the liquidity.
Compare gold in 1972 to where Bitcoin is heading into 2027 — the setup is strikingly similar. It perfectly supports the idea that Bitcoin dramatically outperforms every major asset in the next cycle.
Gold’s market cap is around $31.7T. Bitcoin sits near $1.83T. Even at $200,000 per BTC, the market cap would be roughly $5T — still six times smaller than gold.
And as always, there will be excuses not to buy. Today it’s quantum computing and AI. Before that it was regulation, energy usage, and volatility. Fear always just changes its outfit.
That fear will shake people out right before the real move begins.
I’m buying.
Because this is likely the last bear market where Bitcoin trades below $100,000.
