VC Roundup: Investors eye blockchain analytics, gaming and crypto privacy
VC investors focus on blockchain analytics, gaming, and crypto privacy. Several new crypto and blockchain companies received funding, including Bubblemaps, CoinScan, Hinkal Protocol, and Mythic Protocol. In September, Amitt Mahajan raised $33 million for Web3 games, while Animoca Brands raised $20 million for its Mocaverse platform. Blockchain Capital closed two new funds worth $580 million for crypto and decentralized finance projects.
Bubblemaps raises $3.2 million for data visualization with the goal of becoming Google Analytics Web3. CoinScan raised $6.3 million for its crypto analytics platform that offers security screening, holder analysis, airdrop analysis and social sentiment analysis. Hinkal Protocol gets $4.1 million to improve privacy in DeFi trading with advanced privacy layers.
Mythic Protocol raises $6.5 million for a collaborative entertainment ecosystem focused on gamers, creators and investors. ConsenSys launched a pre-accelerator program, the ConsenSys Fellowship, to support early-stage Web3 startups with potential investment of up to $1.5 million.
