It's US midterm Election Day, and Bitcoin is moving sideways with a slight negative tilt. At 6:45 a.m. ET, $BTC was priced at $76,995, down about 1% from yesterday and roughly 9% below a month ago.

What's pressuring the market 📉

🔹 Renewed institutional withdrawals, leveraged liquidations, and weakness in global tech stocks.

🔹 Spot Bitcoin ETFs lost about $399 million.

🔹 Ongoing fallout from the Binance security incident and large customer withdrawals. CoinDesk also reported that the SAFU wallet balance has fallen by about half, to just above 7,500 BTC.

Levels to watch 🎯

🔹 Support: $76,400–$76,500, which has held so far.

🔹 Resistance: $78,000 first, then $79,500.

A different midterm story 🔍

Bitcoin went into each of the last three midterm elections after a rough stretch, but this time it trades about 5% above its 200-day average of roughly $73,169. That's a long-term strength signal, even while the short-term mood stays cautious.

My take 💡

Election days often bring headline-driven swings. Keep leverage low, respect your stop levels, and avoid chasing the first big candle in either direction. 🛡️

Where do you see BTC by the end of the week: $80K or $74K?
