Bitcoin Near $82K: Breakout or Another Rejection?

Bitcoin is approaching an important short-term decision point. On the 15-minute chart, BTC/USDT is trading around $81,914, after recovering from a sharp dip to $80,819.66. Buyers have managed to push the price back toward the session high of $82,078, but the next move will depend on whether that buying pressure can continue.

One interesting detail is that Bitcoin is trading above the moving averages displayed on the chart: the 30-period MA is around $81,788, the 50-period MA is near $81,644, the 100-period MA is around $81,590, and the 200-period MA stands close to $81,680. This suggests that short-term momentum has improved compared with the recent low.

However, I would not call this a confirmed breakout yet. The $82,000–$82,080 region is the immediate resistance area to watch. If BTC breaks above it with strong volume and holds the level on a retest, buyers could gain more confidence and push price toward the next resistance zone.

On the downside, the $81,650–$81,780 region is an important short-term area because several moving averages are clustered nearby. Losing this zone could weaken the recovery and bring $81,245 into focus. If selling accelerates, the recent low near $80,820 becomes the bigger support level to monitor.

The order book in the screenshot also shows more sell-side liquidity than buy-side liquidity. Still, order-book figures can change quickly, so I would not use that reading alone to make a trading decision.

My approach would be to wait for a confirmed break above resistance or a clear rejection before choosing a direction. In a fast market, entering too early can turn a good idea into a bad trade.

Bitcoin is showing short-term recovery, but confirmation is still needed. Protecting capital comes first; chasing candles comes second.$BTC #USPPIRises6.3%YearOverYear
