$RSR Surges Over 50% After Upbit Lists KRW and USDT Pairs

Reserve Rights ($RSR ) jumped more than 50% in 24 hours, briefly exceeding $0.0028, after South Korean exchange Upbit announced new trading pairs against the Korean won and USDT.

Trading on the new pairs began at 14:05 KST on October 12. The announcement triggered a rapid move across major venues, with RSRUSDT perpetual futures also showing elevated open interest and deeply negative funding rates as shorts paid longs.

RSR is the governance and utility token of the Reserve Protocol, which enables users to create and manage asset-backed Decentralized Token Folios (DTFs). The protocol continues to expand its Index and Yield products, with recent community votes favoring higher burn rates to reduce supply.

Listings on major regional exchanges often expand accessibility and short-term liquidity. Whether the gains hold will depend on sustained volume on the new Upbit pairs and broader market conditions rather than the announcement alone.

Upbit’s addition of RSR/KRW and RSR/USDT pairs delivered a sharp liquidity-driven rally, highlighting how regional exchange access can still move mid-cap tokens quickly.

Sharp listing-driven pumps frequently reverse. RSR remains a volatile mid-cap asset with significant circulating supply and leverage risks on perpetual markets.
