๐Ÿ” XRP Ledgerโ€™s Newest Upgrade Has a Practical Twist for Businesses

The XRP Ledger activated PermissionDelegationV1_1 on October 8, allowing accounts to grant limited permissions without sharing their main keys.

CONFIRMED: The change lets an account authorize another account to perform specified tasks. That could help businesses separate operational dutiesโ€”such as payments or approvalsโ€”from control of their primary wallet.

But hereโ€™s the important distinction: this is an XRPL protocol feature, not a change to XRP itself. It does not automatically create new demand for XRP.

Another milestone is still pending: the XRPLโ€™s official release notes said the Batch-related amendments were expected to activate October 9, conditional on validator support. I could not verify their live activation status, so they should not be treated as completed here.

The takeaway: permission delegation is live; the Batch upgrade remains a separate status to confirm.
