Base’s Cobalt upgrade is live, and B20 now supports an issuer-level seizure function.
Important caveat: it isn’t automatically enabled for every token.
Before treating a B20 balance as unconditionally controlled by the holder, check two permissions:
SEIZE_ROLE
SEIZE_EXEMPT_POLICY
An unset exemption policy disables this seizure path.
Self-custody still controls your wallet key. But token-level administrative permissions can matter too.
