#ZEC JUST GOT VERY INTERESTING
The Bitget hack has taken an interesting turn.
Part of the stolen ZEC has reportedly been moved toward Zcash's shielded ecosystem, and that's where tracking the money gets a lot more complicated.
Bitget says around $387.5M in assets were transferred to attacker-controlled addresses during the September 24 breach, with ZEC included in the affected assets.
Once funds interact with a shielded pool, the public blockchain doesn't give investigators the same level of visibility into individual transactions.
And that's the part that caught my attention.
The blockchain doesn't suddenly become invisible, but following the money can become a completely different game.
The attackers may have moved the funds, but analysts are still watching the trail closely. 👀
ZEC is definitely one to keep on the radar. $ZEC
