Vitalik said on X that he tried to briefly explain the real meaning of Ethereum’s plans after the Hegota fork. According to Odaily, he described Ethereum as no longer just a blockchain, but a hybrid architecture combining blockchain and modern cryptography that can support stronger features.

He said the related plans include FOCIL, EIP-8288, simplified consensus, state management, formal verification, mempool improvements with privacy features, and long-term obfuscation techniques.
