๐Ÿšจ #BrazilOrdersReportingOf$10KSelfCustodyTransfers โ€” self-custody is entering a much tighter compliance era in Brazil.

Brazilโ€™s central bank has ordered virtual-asset service providers to report crypto transfers of $10,000 or more involving self-custody wallets to COAF, the countryโ€™s financial-intelligence unit. The rules take effect October 1, 2026.

Important: this is not a ban on self-custody and not a $10K transfer limit. Itโ€™s a mandatory reporting threshold aimed at AML and fraud monitoring.

The bigger narrative is clear:
More self-custody oversight โ†’ more compliance for exchanges โ†’ tighter tracking of large crypto flows.

Brazil is already one of the worldโ€™s biggest stablecoin markets, with stablecoins representing about 80% of declared crypto volume according to Brazilโ€™s tax authority.

Crypto adoption is growing โ€” and regulation is catching up fast. ๐Ÿ‘€
