The SEC is moving closer to allowing new tokenized stock trading platforms under a fresh innovation exemption framework.SEC Crypto Task Force legal counsel Taylor Lindman said some platforms could start announcing their plans as early as next quarter.Several companies have already shown interest, according to Odaily. The exemption would last 5 years and could allow eligible platforms to trade tokenized U.S. stocks on public blockchains through permissioned AMMs and liquidity pools.📌 Tokenized stocks would still need to keep traditional shareholder rights like dividends and voting.SEC Commissioner Hester Peirce called the framework a temporary step toward longer-term crypto regulations.👀 If this moves forward, the connection between traditional stocks and blockchain could get much stronger.
