Elon Musk remains deeply involved in Neuralink’s progress
Nearly 10 years after starting the company, he still meets with the team every week, often more frequently, goes deep into the technical work and continues contributing to key engineering decisions
Neuralink President DJ Seo explained just how involved Elon still is:
“Elon made some of the key technical decisions and still does to this day. We meet with him weekly (often more frequently). He goes deep with the team and contributes significantly”
And this has been consistent throughout Neuralink’s journey
From an idea in 2016 to people now controlling computers with their thoughts, creating art, gaining back independence and even communicating through intended speech
Neuralink has now implanted more than two dozen people across its growing human trials
And just recently, its VOICE program showed a participant turning intended speech directly into audible words through the implant
All while Elon is simultaneously building across Tesla, SpaceXAI and The Boring Company
