Strategy’s Bitcoin Stack Just Added $14.76B in 15 Days

Michael Saylor’s company did not need a giant new purchase to print that number. BTC jumped from the August 19 low near $64,100 toward the $81,000 area, and Strategy’s 845,050 coins moved with it. On a stack that size, every $1,000 in Bitcoin is worth about $845 million.

This is mark-to-market math, not cash in the bank. Strategy still holds the coins. The company bought another 4,603 BTC late in August for $370 million after a summer pause, taking the treasury to 845,050 BTC at an average cost of about $75,412.

How the 15-day swing breaks down:

> holdings: 845,050 BTC, about 4% of total supply
> cost basis: $63.73 billion
> starting point: Bitcoin’s August 19 low near $64,100
> now: price back above $80,000 on some prints
> result: roughly $14.76 billion of paper value added in two weeks

That matters because Strategy is still the largest corporate Bitcoin holder, and a two-week bounce can change its treasury by more than many companies earn in a year.

The catch is simple. The gain is unrealized. Sell it and the number disappears. The stock is also not the same thing as the coins: MSTR can still trade below the value of the bitcoin. And BTC is still well below the 2025 high near $126,000.

So the portfolio got $14.76 billion heavier. Strategy did not take that off the table.
