I was thinking about RWAs today and one question kept coming back to me.
What if the asset does not simply get a digital wrapper after being created... What if its lifecycle starts onchain?
Tokenization usually takes an existing asset and represents it on a blockchain. Native issuance goes further.
The asset can be issued with its lifecycle designed around onchain infrastructure. Issuance. Transfers. Ownership records. Compliance. Settlement.
That changes the perspective completely. Instead of using blockchain as another layer around traditional finance it can become part of the asset’s foundation.
This is where $DUSK becomes interesting.
Its infrastructure is designed to support native issuance workflows for regulated securities when institutions and venues have the required authorization and setup.
For RWAs this could mean fewer disconnected steps and more programmable market infrastructure.
The bigger opportunity is not simply putting more assets onchain.
It is building financial markets where the asset itself can move through more of its lifecycle onchain.
Maybe that is where RWA adoption truly begins.
