In the last two hours Bitcoin dropped below $62,000, hitting roughly $61,500, and the slide triggered a wave of long liquidations totaling around $700 million across the market.

The hardest-hit longs were the majors, Bitcoin and Ethereum took the largest share of the wipeout, with Solana the next biggest casualty as leveraged bulls were flushed out.

Sentiment has collapsed alongside price: the Crypto Fear & Greed Index now sits at 12, deep in “Extreme Fear,” while the total crypto market cap is down about 4% over the past 24 hours to $2.32 trillion.
